Julien Lestrille is a French furniture and object designer based in Paris.

Graduating from Strate Design School, he gained expertise in luxury space and furniture design by working with prestigious agencies such as Valode & Pistre and Gilles & Boissier. Julien had the privilege of contributing to a range of projects, from headquarters to shopping malls and cinemas, as well as luxury hotels and boutiques.

In 2019, he co-founded Mijery Edition, a publishing house that values the craftsmanship of Madagascar. Mijery Edition’s selection by Artcurial and Piasa for exceptional auction sales during the international fine craft biennial, Révélations, reflects Julien’s commitment to fine craftsmanship and the creation of unique, sustainable, and ethical products.

Parallelly, he created Mijery Studio, a 3D image studio dedicated to the design of spaces and objects. More than just a 3D image, each visual is a carefully piece of art, where details, materials, lighting, and framing are meticulously considered. Julien once again had the opportunity to collaborate with challenging agencies such as Moinard Bétaille and Ramy Fischler, aiming for a unique perspective that meets the high standards of the projects entrusted to him.

3D work is inherent to his furniture and object design process. From the initial sketches, he integrates his creations into a virtual environment, allowing him to develop the universe of a collection and tell its story.

His design approach is influenced by the world of childhood, fostering imagination and evoking wonder and curiosity. He incorporates references to popular culture in his creations, producing objects that resonate with our collective imagination. Julien creates collections with aesthetic coherence and a narrative, making each item a unique piece within a broader ensemble.
